Easy Fresh Cranberry Sauce

We are starting to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner!  Fresh cranberry sauce is so easy and delicious, you will never have canned sauce again!

Ingredient List:

1 pound of fresh cranberries

1 cup sugar

1 cup orange juice

1 cinnamon stick

1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Rinse cranberries in a colander

In a medium saucepan, place cranberries…

Orange juice…..

and 1 cup of sugar.

Stir the 3 ingredients together.

Place on the stove at medium-high heat and bring to a boil.

Lower the heat to simmer and add….

1 cinnamon stick…..

nutmeg and allspice.  Simmer for 7 minutes.  The berries should split and the sauce will thicken.

Remove from the heat and add the zest of one orange.
