We had a lot of honey baked ham left from Easter dinner! We are using some of it in this quiche, some in split pea soup, the rest in the freezer.
1 ready made pie crust
1 cup cooked, cubed ham
1 cup asparagus, chopped
1 cup swiss cheese, grated
2 cups half and half
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
Unroll the pie crust into a 9 inch pie plate.
Crimp the edges, then press down with a fork around the edge.
Cut the woody ends off the asparagus, then chop into bite-size pieces.
Place the ham evenly over the bottom of the unbaked crust.
Grate the cheese
Add it on top of the ham and asparagus
Crack the eggs into a bowl.
Pour half and half into the eggs….
Add the salt, pepper and nutmeg…
Whisk together well…
Pour egg mixture into the pie shell.
